Personal Information Protection Policy

As the developer of HikCentral Professional APP and Portal (hereinafter collectively referred as “Software”), Hangzhou Hikvision Technology Co., Ltd. (“HIKVISION”) attaches great importance to information security and privacy protection, in order to protect your rights, this Personal Information Protection Policy will explain to you what kind of your information will be collected and processed when using the Software.

HIKVSION will not collect or process your information during your use of the Software except:

i) when you contact our customer service or use customer support tools, we may collect your information (including your personal information) like name and email, IP or log file to provide you with support. The customer support tools have corresponding statement regarding the use of your personal information, or our customer service team will inform you any use of personal information in advance; and

ii) provided that you activate, update or deactivate the license key you purchased from HIKVISION or an authorized distributor through the Software, HIKVISION may collect your computer information, like unique ID to verify your license.

Besides that, in order to ensure the realization of the relevant functions of the Software and the safe and stable operation of the Software, the Software may integrate with, to the extent of necessary and minimum, software development kit (SDK), application program interface (API), application plug-in code or other cooperation methods provided by third parties (hereinafter collectively referred as “Third Party Technologies”) to achieve the aforementioned purposes.

The processing of Personal Information by the subject of Third Party Technologies is governed by its own privacy policy, when you use the functions in or through and/or connected to the Software, you are advised to read applicable privacy policy for your interest before using the Software. Please note that the third party code may have some changes in data processing due to its version upgrade and policy adjustment, and please refer to the official instructions published by it. We will list the names of Third Party Technologies our Software access and their privacy policy links for you, so that you can better understand the use and protection of your Personal Information, as follows:

SDK: Firebase

Personal Information collected: Unique device identifier, user’s location, application identifier, application version, independent device identifier, device model, manufacturer of end device, system version, language, session start/stop time, time zone and network status (WiFi), hard disk, CPU, application information (commonly used interfaces), commonly used function statistics.

Purpose of use: For crash analysis to optimize Software

Purpose of use: Log in the Software through Microsoft Cloud account.

SDK: EZVIZ Open SDK

Personal Information collected: Serial number and verification code of EZVIZ products, screenshot of the video screen generated by the alarm event capture, audio content, face/humanoid recognition, network connection, operator, WiFi information (such as WiFi SSID information, BSSID information, signal and WiFi password) Bluetooth Mac address of your device.

Purpose of use: Preview and playback related functions
